All Together

Both halves of the team have now met in London. It has been a very long day and a half for the Monahans group. We are all tired but looking forward to the next part of our journey. We get the priveledge to hang out in the London airport for the next 9 hours. Very exciting. All are getting to know each other and sharing about their lives. It is a wonderful time. Will update once we are settled in Mbale. Thanks for your prayers.

  1. My name is Vicki, I am from England, I live Odessa TX, I am Gay's friend. You can buy tickets on e-bay for the airport lounges in London and the USA for all the airlines next time you have a long lay over like 9 hours, check them out. Just look for the one day pass and your airline a head of time and see if they are included in the airport lounge. You can all sit in comfort for 8 hours. Hope it all works out.

  2. I forgot to let you know if you land at Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 London. There is a HOTEL inside the airport check in and depart section called YOTEL next to a Pub inside the airport terminal, called Weatherspoons. The bedrooms are like little pods, you rent a room on line, or how ever many hours you need to sleep or rest, with a bathroom and bed and sleep for a few hours. BOOK on line before travel plans begin.

  4. Pat Sligh here: The good news is that Debra went home late Thursday....will do IVs for 28 days, then schedule surgery. The bad news is that I did not get my letter for Brenda B. to Glenna. It dawned on me Friday at 10am...too late. I just sat down and cried. I put her letter in the mail.I am wearing my prayer box necklace until all are home safely. It is a constant reminder to pray. GOD SPEED.
